- NSK became the operator of a pilot insurance program covering loans to agricultural producers against the risk of default on the loan agreement in the event of a decline in average regional crop yields.
- NSK took part in the Go Viral 2018 festival, held with the support of the U.S. Diplomatic Mission.
- NSK was a partner of the PFL 2018 spring tournament.
- NSK was the main partner of the final ALHL 2018 hockey game.

2017
- The global agency Standard & Poor's Global Ratings upgraded the Company's rating from “B” to “B+”.
- More than 669,000 insurance contracts were concluded with individuals and legal entities.
- Insurance payouts in 2017 amounted to KZT 3.6 billion.
- The Company's head office and claims settlement center in Almaty moved to a new building at 15a Almagul microdistrict.
- Forum magazine won the “Best Corporate Publication 2017” category at the 10th Central Asian Corporate Media Competition, held as part of the Kazakhstan PR Forum.
- A new round-the-clock sales office opened in Almaty at 111 Baitursynov Street.
- The Company organized the #MYKAZAKHSTAN expedition — a jeep tour through 15 cities of Central Kazakhstan.
- The Company took first place in the “Best Annual Report in the Financial Sector” and “Best Annual Report Design” categories at the annual report competition held by the RAEX rating agency (“Expert RA Kazakhstan”).

2016
- The global agency Standard & Poor's affirmed the Company's rating at “B” with a “Stable” outlook.
- More than 641,000 contracts were concluded with individuals and more than 74,000 contracts with corporate clients.
- NSK Schools, which provide additional training for sales staff, opened at 4 branches across Kazakhstan;
- Insurance premiums grew by 14% in 2016 compared with 2015;
- At the end of 2016, the Company's financial capital stood at KZT 6.1 billion of own funds (as of 1 January 2017).
2015

- Insurance payouts in 2015 exceeded KZT 5.1 billion.
- More than 640,000 contracts were concluded with individuals and more than 124,000 contracts with corporate clients.
- Two health insurance products unique to Kazakhstan were launched: Sphera Zdorovya and Global Protector.
2014
- JSC NSK's insurance premiums exceeded KZT 12.5 billion for 2014, while insurance payouts reached KZT 3.2 billion.
- The rating assigned by Standard & Poor's was affirmed at “B+” with a “Stable” outlook.
- The rating assigned by Expert RA Kazakhstan was affirmed at “A+”, “Very high level of reliability”.
- The Company's official website was updated and modernized.
- The first “City of Masters” festival was held.
2013
- The rating assigned by Standard & Poor's was affirmed at “B+” with a “Stable” outlook.
- The “A” rating from the Kazakhstani agency Expert RA Kazakhstan was upgraded to “A+”, “Very high level of reliability”.
- New CASCO motor insurance terms were developed: affordable rates and a wide choice of risks and additional bonus options.
- JSC NSK's insurance premiums exceeded KZT 11.4 billion, while insurance payouts reached KZT 3.11 billion.
- Accounting and the claims settlement process were centralized at the Company's head office.
2012
- JSC NSK ranked 262nd in the NB500 ranking of Kazakhstan's largest companies compiled by National Business magazine.
- The analytical magazine Exclusive included JSC NSK in its list of the Kazakhstani companies with the best reputation. JSC NSK took 38th place in the TOP-50.
- The Company was assigned ratings by two agencies: “B+” from the international agency Standard & Poor's and “A”, “High level of reliability”, from the Kazakhstani agency Expert RA Kazakhstan.
- Official insurer of the national “Legends of Kazakhstan” car rally.
- For the first time in the Company's history, insurance premiums exceeded KZT 10 billion, while insurance payouts rose to KZT 2.4 billion.
2011
- Payouts to clients for the year exceeded KZT 1.9 billion.
2010
- JSC NSK was included in the list of the country's 100 largest companies in the “Expert 100 Kazakhstan” ranking published by Expert Kazakhstan magazine.
- Payouts to clients for the year amounted to KZT 1.5 billion.
2009
- The Health Insurance Department was established, incorporating the Company's own team of medical coordinators operating throughout Kazakhstan.
- Direct agreements were concluded with medical institutions. A customer service unit was set up to administer these agreements.
- Total payouts to clients for the year amounted to more than KZT 1.2 billion.
2008
- The treaty reinsurance agreement providing USD 20 million of cover against catastrophic risks was extended.
- The Company received a certificate confirming that its quality management system complies with ST RK 9001-2009. Since then, JSC NSK has undergone an independent audit every year and confirmed its compliance with this high standard.
- JSC NSK insured more than 600 Kazakhstani fans at the XXIX Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
2007
- JSC NSK's corporate identity was updated.
- A new approach was introduced in the largest segment of all, compulsory civil liability insurance for vehicle owners: “Honest insurance — direct payout”.
- Insurance payouts to clients for the year amounted to more than KZT 761 million.
2006
- A Contact Center was opened.
- An automated policy issuance system was introduced.
2005
- For the second year running, OJSC NSK was named the winner among insurance companies at the “Automotive Service” competition.
- A Customer Service Center was opened to enable prompt decisions on payouts to individuals.
- In order to comply with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, OJSC NSK was re-registered from an open joint-stock company (OJSC) into a joint-stock company (JSC).
- The charter capital was doubled to KZT 1.5 billion.
2004
- OJSC NSK took first place among insurance companies at the “Automotive Service” competition.
- A Personnel Training Center was opened. OJSC NSK became one of the first insurance companies on the market to train certified insurance agents in-house and to professional standards.
2003
- For the third time, the Company won the “Choice of the Year” goods and services competition in the “No. 1 Insurance Company in Kazakhstan” category.
- An excess-of-loss treaty reinsurance agreement for property risks was concluded, with cover of USD 10 million per risk.
- The Company became a member of JSC Insurance Payments Guarantee Fund.
- OJSC NSK gained a strategic partner in the RESO-Garantia holding.
2002
- At the end of the year, OJSC NSK won the “People's Choice of Kazakhstan” competition.
- The Company's premiums collected for the year exceeded KZT 4 billion.
- A branch was opened in Aktau.
2001
- The charter capital was increased to KZT 125 million.
- At the end of the year, OJSC NSK once again won the “No. 1 Insurance Company in Kazakhstan” category of the “Choice of the Year” competition.
- Premiums for the year exceeded KZT 1.2 billion.
2000
- The Company's premiums collected for the year exceeded KZT 1 billion.
- The Company won the “No. 1 Insurance Company in Kazakhstan” category of the “Choice of the Year” competition.
1999
- The Company became a full member of the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, which enabled it to take a more active part in discussions on key issues in the development of the financial system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
1998
- A treaty reinsurance agreement covering liability and property was concluded with foreign reinsurance companies through the insurance broker Marsh Ltd.
- A representative office was opened in Kyzylorda.
1997
- On 28 July, after shareholders representing Kazakhstan's oil and gas and financial industries joined the company, it was reorganized as the legal successor of Insurance Society AstykInStrakh LLP and re-registered as Neftyanaya Strakhovaya Kompaniya OJSC (hereinafter, OJSC NSK).
1996
- On 10 April, Insurance Society AstykInStrakh LLP, founded by the country's largest grain exporters, was registered with the judicial authorities.
- Branches were opened in the cities of Akmola, Kostanay and Kokshetau.
